Job Summary
- Provide tax advisory services to support business decisions, strategic initiatives, and compliance obligations. This includes corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, capital gains tax, and other relevant taxes, ensuring optimisation of the Group's overall tax position. The Manager will work under the guidance of the Head of Tax to support strategic initiatives, projects, and ongoing operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Support and advise on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions and strategic initiatives undertaken by the Group and provide recommendation, if any.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend tax planning opportunities and incentives to optimise the Group's tax position.
- Review corporate tax computations and returns, transfer pricing documentations, etc.
- Support and coordinate on ad-hoc tax projects under guidance of superior, including research, analysis, and drafting of recommendations.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation, regulations, and industry practices, and disseminate relevant updates to the wider team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and support their professional development.
- Coordinate with external advisors, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Perform other assigned duties as & when required.
Qualifications And Experience
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Economics.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 professional firm.
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role overseeing tax advisory or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of local tax regulations.
- Ability to meet deadlines and excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in property development or real estate tax matters will be an advantage.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
