As the Manager, Telemarketing, your primary mission is to drive aggressive revenue growth and maximize conversion rates across our telemarketing channels. You will lead a high-energy team and leverage AI, automation, and process engineering as strategic levers to increase lead velocity, improve speed-to-lead, and ensure every customer interaction is optimized for a successful sale.
About your role
1. Sales Strategy & Conversion Optimization
- Direct Revenue Impact: Take full ownership of the telemarketing sales funnel, from initial lead contact to successful conversion/booking.
- A/B Testing: Design and execute rigorous testing for sales scripts, rebuttal techniques, and closing strategies to constantly lift conversion percentages.
- Lead Management: Work closely with Marketing to analyze lead quality and implement automated lead-scoring models to prioritize high-intent customers for immediate callback.
2. Performance Management & Coaching
- KPI Accountability: Define and exceed core sales metrics, including Conversion Rate (Lead-to-Deal), Revenue per Lead, Talk Time Efficiency, and Sales Target Attainment.
- High-Performance Culture: Foster a competitive, results-oriented environment. Implement real-time performance tracking and gamified incentives to drive motivation.
- Targeted Coaching: Utilize AI-powered speech analytics to identify individual agent performance gaps and provide data-backed coaching to improve closing skills.
3. Tech-Enabled Sales Efficiency
- Sales Automation: Streamline the sales workflow by automating CRM updates and follow-up sequences, allowing agents to spend 80% of their day on active sales calls rather than administrative tasks.
- AI Integration: Implement AI tools (e.g., auto-dialers, predictive routing, and real-time prompt assistants) specifically designed to reduce Dead Air and increase the probability of a successful sale.
- Process Engineering: Eliminate bottlenecks in the hand-off process between Telemarketing and the physical Inspection/Retail centers to ensure zero lead leakage.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor movements (e.g., pricing, promotional offers) and equip the team with effective counter-pitch strategies.
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance deep-dives to senior leadership, highlighting sales trends, conversion blockers, and ROI on automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years in Telemarketing or Inside Sales management, preferably within the tech, fintech, or automotive sectors.
- Tech Savviness: Proven track record of implementing AI tools, CRM automations
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable operational changes. Proficiency in SQL or BI tools (Tableau/Metabase) is a significant plus.
- Process Mindset: Certification or experience in Process Improvement frameworks (Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is a plus to cater to a diverse customer base.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, startup-to-scaleup environment where change is constant.
