We are looking for Manager, Terminal Vendor Management and the successful candidate will reporting to Head, Card Operation & Merchant Ops.

Functional (job Responsibilities)

  • Leading and managing team day to day operations to ensure services meet business needs and within agreed turnaround time.
  • Access the performance of the terminals and vendor's service, making adjustments or changes as needed to improve efficiency.
  • Resolving escalated issues and handling inquires or investigation related to terminals deployment, retrieval and termination within agreed turnaround time.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with respective stakeholders to align with the business goals and objectives. (e.g. business PPFE, Merchant Operations support and terminal vendors).
  • Oversee terminal inventory levels, forecasting demands and managing replenishment to minimize the stock outs and excess stock for write off.
  • Track and review terminal related expenses with business to identify opportunities for cost savings, optimization and efficiency improvements. (e.g. terminal paper rolls, terminal purchase, maintenance service cost).
  • Working closely with business PPFE for the terminal purchase including price negotiation.
  • Providing regular reports and updates related terminal deployment, conversion and retrieval progress and SLA to PPFE business and Management on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Ensure team is complying with the bank policy & regulation, Merchant Acquiring and BNM guidelines whichever is applicable and conduct risk control and assessment accordingly. (e.g. RCSA, CBR).
  • Identify areas where processes can be simplified and automated to improve customer experience, efficiency and to support business growth.
  • Work closely with PPFE terminal technical support and terminal vendors to support hardware issues for troubleshooting in a timely manner, to minimize the business disruptions.
  • Conduct stock counts with PPFE Compliance on yearly basis whereas performing validation on stock count reporting receive from vendors on a weekly basis, follow by write off for obsolete and other reason upon receiving approvals.
  • Support as backup for checking roles to verify team member's daily works related to terminal deployment, retrieval and termination.
  • Perform validation on the reporting and tracking in order to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Regularly review and updates the Terminal vendor management standard operating procedure to ensure in line with the current practice and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams such as Merchant Operations support and Merchant payment to improve procedure or issues related to terminals.
  • Provide destruction solution and give feedbacks for better output.
  • Lead and participate in User Acceptance Testing and projects related to merchant operations until it successfully cutover to production with no hiccups.
  • Ensure escalation put in place to deal with production issue, system issue, compliant and backlogs that lead to compliance and potential financial loss.

Managerial (team/group Responsibilities)


  • Ensure all tasks performed accurately within SLA and compliance with bank rules & regulations.
  • Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards.
  • Training and mentoring team members to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.

Job Requirements


  • Malaysian Citizen.
  • Professional or Degree holder in banking and financial.
  • Minimum 5 years of related working experience with knowledge on Credit Card System and leading a team will be an added advantage.
  • Good writing and communication skills with proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and good working attitude.
