Job Description

The Trade Service/Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and activation of channel-driven initiatives. You will ensure our Household & Personal Care brands achieve sales targets through superior merchandising, data-driven category management, and high-impact trade promotions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Trade Marketing & Merchandising Excellence

  • Merchandising Strategy: Identify channel-specific requirements and set ideal product ranging templates for different store clusters.
  • Visual Standards: Develop customized merchandising concepts, including Storage Materials (MSM) and Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM).
  • Maintenance: Build and monitor a database for in-store advertising to ensure visuals are updated and damaged materials are replaced.
  • Training: Upskill Sales and Merchandising teams on tool usage and shelf maintenance.

2. Category Management & Data Insights

  • Data Analysis: Use Scan Data (Dunnhumby, Kantar, Nielsen) to map 5-year trends, analyze competitor pricing, and evaluate pack-size performance.
  • Strategic Reviews: Conduct monthly and quarterly category reviews with key accounts to recommend growth strategies.
  • Space Management: Use specialized software to create and implement Planograms, ensuring retailers optimize shelf space for our brands.

3. Promotion & Launch Activation

  • Customized Promotions: Design shopper mechanics (contests, roadshows, sampling) aligned with retailer calendars.
  • New Product Launches (NPI): Execute launch mechanics and set merchandising guides to ensure new items gain immediate traction.
  • Stock Management: Forecast and allocate promotion stock and premiums across branches and depots.

4. Monitoring & Future Scopes

  • KPI Tracking: Conduct market audits and post-mortem analysis on all activations.
  • Stakeholder Review: Lead monthly meetings with Brand Marketing and Key Accounts to review performance.
  • Phase II Growth: This role will evolve to include direct Trade Activity Planning and Trade Fund Monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in solid Trade Marketing with at least 3 years in Category Management (FMCG or Personal Care industry background is required).
  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Nielsen Space Management software. Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven track record in translating data insights into actionable business growth.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines.
