MANAGING DIRECTOR

LOCATION: MALAYSIA (candidates must have existing legal authorization to work in Malaysia)

Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 USD (Base Salary + Performance / Profit Participation)

Work Model: Remote / Regional Leadership

Position Overview: A senior leadership role for a proven commercial executive with extensive experience in chemical trading, exports, supplier development, and international business, focused on exporting Malaysian and Southeast Asian chemical products into high-value markets including North America, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Leadership: Lead commercial growth and export operations in Malaysia; develop long-term regional growth strategies
- Team Leadership: Build and develop a commercial sales operation; recruit and develop sales professionals
- International Business Development: Expand exports into North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea; negotiate long-term commercial agreements
- Supplier Development: Develop strategic relationships with Malaysian and Southeast Asian chemical manufacturers
- Logistics & Supply Chain: Coordinate export logistics; develop relationships with freight forwarders and logistics providers
- Financial & Commercial Management: Drive profitable revenue growth; manage budgets and commercial forecasts

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in chemical distribution, international trading, or specialty chemicals
- Must have existing legal authorization to work in Malaysia
- Significant experience exporting chemicals internationally
- Existing supplier relationships throughout Malaysia and Southeast Asia
- Experience negotiating international commercial agreements and leading commercial teams
- Understanding of international trade finance and bank financing used in global chemical transactions

Strong Plus / Preferred:
Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, or other regional language skills; existing international customer portfolio; experience managing multiple regional offices; experience with letters of credit, trade financing
