Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. The Interpreter will provide over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI) services. Daily tasks include accurately and quickly interpreting conversations between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking individuals, ensuring clear communication, handling various fields such as healthcare, legal, and customer service, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin and English languages
• Proficient in over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI) is a plus
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Experience in the fields of healthcare, legal, or customer service is highly desirable
• Ability to remain calm and handle challenging situations effectively
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and ability to convey messages accurately
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Relevant certification in interpretation is a plus
