Description
We are looking for a Manual API Tester to join our team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in manual testing with a focus on API testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our APIs by designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test cases for APIs based on requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects in a bug tracking system.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand API functionalities and testing needs.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that APIs function as expected after changes or updates.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and provide updates on testing progress.
- Review and analyze system specifications to create comprehensive test plans.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in manual testing, specifically with API testing.
- Proficient in using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar for API testing.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services and their testing methodologies.
- Experience with writing and executing test cases and test plans for APIs.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
