Job Description

This position as Staff Engineer level requires innovation, leadership and strong technical knowledge in software integration, understanding of automation, control systems, industrial networks, and smart sensors to deliver a Smart manufacturing & Industry 4.0 to achieve optimum manufacturing efficiency and sustainability with QMS ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO17025 Standards.

Position Summary:

The role requires strong creativity to independently execute complex tasks or contribute as a leader / a critical technical member of a Smart manufacturing & Industry 4.0 implementation project compliance with QMS ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO17025 Standards.

Demands a high degree of creativity, along with leadership capability to execute system-related functions in the following key areas:

  • System integration: Ability to design, deploy, and optimize smart factory systems integrating automation, robotics, IoT, AI, and MES/SCADA platforms.
  • Smart manufacturing & Industry 4.0 implementation: Proven ability to integrate IOT and IT systems, ensuring seamless communication between machines (SECGEM), sensors and enterprise systems (ERP, MES).
  • Project management: Competent in managing multiple smart factory projects from concept to deployment, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.

What You Will Do:

  • Leading cross functional team from Process/Equipment Engineering, Production, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, MES team to implement stage by stage smart factory projects from concept to deployment and work with suppliers to deliver advance integrated automation solutions compliance with QMS ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO17025 Standards.
  • Have strong communication skills which able to translate complex technical concepts into practical actions for shopfloor team from operators to management level.
  • Capable to adapt, resilient and thrives in dynamic-changing environments and responds well to evolving technologies and production demands. Proactive and self-driven when anticipates issues and opportunities rather than reacting to problems.
  • Continuous improvement, optimization and capability to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, improve OEE, and enhance process reliability with smart manufacturing or I4.0 solution.
  • Strong capability in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data to improve efficiency, quality, and uptime.
  • Designs and implements comprehensive test strategies and test data frameworks to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, reliable, and robust system.
  • Drive automated data acquisition from MES/ERP systems and provide intuitive data visualization for shopfloor teams to support immediate corrective and continuous improvement actions. Evaluate and deploy the most effective interfaces between MES systems and production equipment.
  • Define engineering manufacturing process flows and propose system-capability-based improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and simplicity.
  • Continuously review and evolve smart factory systems capabilities to ensure alignment with manufacturing strategies and business objectives. When internal systems are insufficient, evaluate existing or new third-party partners to deliver advanced scalable and effective solutions.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • Proficient in manufacturing and shop floor application systems, including system functionality and support with preference experience in Camstar MES, ERP, SAP, Power BI, CMMS, SCADA and ability to integrate IOT and IT systems, ensuring seamless communication between machines, sensors and enterprise systems.
  • Professional working experience in a manufacturing environment, with practical, hands-on expertise in MES, ERP shop floor systems, PowerBI, CMMS, SCADA, communication between machines and sensors (SECGEM).
  • Project management, strong communication and presentation skills which able to translate complex technical concepts into practical Smart Factory project deployment to achieve optimum manufacturing efficiency and sustainability.
