Your Job

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQA) for Stamping & Plating, your primary purpose is to develop and manage stamping and plating quality issues by driving effective problem solving, improving internal processes, and ensuring strong customer responsiveness and product quality performance.

Our Team

You will join the Consumer & Commercial Solution – QA organization in Malaysia, partnering with all levels in the plant and other Molex entities to resolve quality topics and strengthen processes. You will also work with external counterparts to support customer quality needs and expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze product failures to define corrective and preventive actions and respond effectively to customer complaints.
  • Communicate with customers in a timely manner by providing data summaries, customer updates, and corrective action reports.
  • Coordinate with Quality personnel and cross-functional departments to discuss and resolve product quality issues raised by customers.
  • Participate in product quality planning and control processes based on customer specifications and requirements initiated by customer quality issues.
  • Inform the quality management team regarding customer feedback and expectations on product quality.
  • Prepare and update all necessary quality reports and procedures as required by customers and internal procedures.
  • Train and guide the quality team in identifying and developing problem-solving methodologies to resolve customer quality issues.
  • Prepare 8D reports for customers, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, and deliver them on time.
  • Execute the corrective actions documented in 8D reports to ensure committed actions are implemented and closed.
  • Review and develop suitable and effective inspection gates in stamping and plating to strengthen detection and prevent leak-out.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the quality of stamping and plating parts and resolving quality issues encountered in production.
  • Perform process line audits to assess product and process quality.
  • Drive improvements for customer complaints and internal quality issues, including participation in quality improvement projects.
  • Drive QAP reduction.
  • Conduct daily MRB activities for material disposition.
  • Perform daily process line audits.
  • Participate in 3rd-party certification body audits and customer audits.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
  • Ability to perform engineering analyses and drive to the root cause of processing problems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to specific timelines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including written communication, one-on-one discussions, and group meetings (with interpersonal skills sufficient to guide less experienced engineers).

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a related field/area.
  • Familiarity with database development, SPC software, and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
