Job Overview

The Manufacturing Technician - TE PBL Kaizen Facilitator is responsible for assisting PBL On Site Management team to drive PBL suppliers and implementing Lean & 6sigma tools on-site activities to drive PBL suppliers to meet the scorecard target including Productivity / Quality / Delivery on time and so on. To support the PBL business development goal. It's also one key through TEOA activities in suppliers.

Job Requirements

Supplier Continuous Improvement Capability

  • Support PBL team member to do on-site process audit and assist to collect production data and analyse them to find process improvement opportunities, to enhance supplier scorecard. Sustain PBL TEOA Metrics
  • On-site supporting suppliers to keep the production yield and implement continuous improvement to manufacturing process.
  • On-site assist TEOA team to implement Lean & 6sigma tools even VAVE engineering technology implement to cost optimization in suppliers to support the PBL goal realization.
  • Work with suppliers and team members to find the improvement opportinities, such as process, material, plating, packing etc.
  • Clearly understanding the TE standards (DWG/Cosmetic standard/PBL NPI process/Change control/Workmanship, etc.) and closely work with PBL team members.
  • Support PBL team to collect the improvement evidence in supplier for metrics target nego.
  • Confidentiality Responsibilities: abide by TE confidentiality rules.
  • Other work from supervisor arrangement.
  • Based in Johor.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Education, Technical Qualification & Experience

  • Associate degree (or above) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-2 years on-site front production management experience is basic.
  • Over 2 years working experience in Lean & 6sigma or Industrial Engineering or in related continuous improvement function areas
  • Working experience in connector, Cable assembly, Cage assembly, Antenna manufacturing is a plus.

Personal Attributes & Competencies

  • Lead at least one successful Lean / 6sigma green belt project is basic.
  • Have knowledge of the supplier management, be aware of ISO9001/IATF16949 is preferred.
  • Ability for periodic travel required. (>75%)
  • Strong communication skills, Fluent English is preferred.
