About The Team
Job Summary
As a Lead-level Market Manager, Accommodation within the Business Development job family of the Business group, you will spearhead market management initiatives for the Accommodation domain's Accom Commercial department. Your work will be central to driving supply partner competitiveness and account growth, aligning closely with the market management function's core goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and engage with supply partners to safeguard pricing and availability competitiveness in your assigned accommodation markets
- Own, develop, and manage top accounts in designated destinations, while guiding the team to build mutually beneficial relationships with accommodation properties
- Report on, analyze, implement, and monitor agreed-upon KPIs, including visualizing and discussing market trends, issues, and opportunities with your team and manager
- Cultivate in-depth industry knowledge, including the pros and cons of competitor models, market landscape dynamics, accommodation rate structures, and yield management practices
- Optimize the use of business processes and systems, leveraging your familiarity with the full spectrum of business tools to ensure team adherence to system protocols
- Guide hotels through the complete process of entering accurate information into the company's extranet platform
- Collaborate with hotels to design and execute promotional activities aimed at boosting booking volumes
- Resolve cross-functional issues related to accounting, allotment, vouchers, notifications, and cancellations for accommodation partners
- Prepare tailored business growth materials to support partner engagement and expansion efforts
- Oversee the development of team strategies to enhance accommodation supply chain efficiency and partner satisfaction
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in market management or business development within the accommodation or hospitality industry, with a track record of leading account growth initiatives
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing KPIs, market trends, and competitor models to drive data-informed decision-making
- Proficiency in using a full spectrum of business tools and extranet platforms relevant to accommodation supply chain management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with supply partners and internal teams
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities to resolve complex issues related to accounting, allotment
- English is required; Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese is a plus
- Willingness to travel domestically as required
