Responsibilities:
1. Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and key opinion leaders.
- Draft and distribute local & localized HQ press releases, statements and announcement.
- Identify opportunities for media coverage and reviews and secure interviews, features, and mentions.
- Identify media partners and platforms with strong SEO performance worth re-engaging.
2. Corporate & Marketing Communications
- Develop and execute corporate communication strategies that align with company objectives.
- Draft talking points, speeches, articles, and thought leadership content for corporate executives. This includes slides and prompter note for event presentation.
3. Reputation Management & Recognition
- Monitor media & public sentiment of the company via social listening tools and proactively manage potential PR issues across both offline and online channels.
- Identify, pursue, and manage award opportunities to enhance corporate reputation and industry recognition.
4. Event Support & Coordination
- Support PR-related activities for corporate events, product launches, and press conferences.
- Plan and manage media briefings, interviews, and networking sessions during events.
5. Content Creation, Storytelling & Copywriting
- Develop engaging corporate narratives and brand stories for various content platforms
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to improve SEO and AI-driven SEO optimization for content.
- Copywrite, provide ideation, and proofread of all marketing contents & materials.
6. Strategic Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support CSR and ESG communication initiatives to strengthen corporate reputation.
- Build and maintain relationships with brand partners, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to explore potential marketing collaborations and partnership opportunities.
7. Performance & Optimization
- Track media coverage and prepare regular PR performance reports.
- Propose optimization ideas to improve media exposure, brand visibility, and messaging effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant PR/communications experience.
- Exceptional command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, with strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Strategic, proactive, and solution-oriented thinker.
- Agile, adaptable, and able to excel in a lean team environment.
- Creative, resourceful, and passionate about brand building and reputation management.
- Leadership experience preferred; proficiency in Chinese and passion for IT are added advantages.
