Job Description

Company Background:

A Malaysian retailer and distributor specializing in highend coffee equipment and accessories.

You will be responsible for leading and executing the company overall marketing strategy to drive brand growth, customer engagement, and sales performance. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with internal teams, external agencies, and brand partners. The Marketing Manager will oversee a small in-house marketing team and is expected to be deeply involved in planning, reviewing, and executing campaigns while building structure, clarity, and accountability within the team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, ensuring clear roles, priorities, and accountability.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and performance direction to ensure high-quality output.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and Management to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely delivery.
  • Build structured workflows, approvals, and reporting processes within the marketing function.
  • Marketing Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with company objectives and brand positioning.
  • Plan annual and quarterly marketing calendars covering campaigns, product launches, promotions, and events.
  • Translate business and sales goals into clear marketing plans with measurable KPIs.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine strategies.
  • Campaign & Content Management
  • Oversee end-to-end marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and offline channels.
  • Guide content direction for social media, website, EDMs, advertising, and brand communications.
  • Review and approve marketing materials to ensure consistency with brand tone and standards.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Digital & E-Commerce Marketing
  • Work closely with the e-commerce team to support website content, product launches, and promotional pages.
  • Oversee digital performance including social media, paid ads, website traffic, and conversion metrics.
  • Support data accuracy and content readiness for website and updates when required.
  • Brand Partnerships & Events
  • Coordinate brand collaborations, product launches, and marketing-led events.
  • Work closely with principals, suppliers, and partners on joint marketing initiatives.
  • Support event planning, messaging, and post-event reporting to maximize brand impact.
  • Market Intelligence, Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities, using insights to refine our marketing strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Track and report marketing performance, campaign results, and ROI.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management based on data and outcomes.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance analysis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a marketing role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position, preferably in retail, lifestyle, FMCG, or premium brands.
  • Strong background in brand management and brand partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and performance analytics.
  • Experience working with agencies, vendors, and external partners.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
  • Passion for the coffee industry is a plus!
