Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote UOB Malaysia's financial products and services, enhance brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition and retention within the Malaysian market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital (SEM, SEO, social media, email marketing), traditional (print, TV, radio), and events, aligned with business objectives and target audience segments.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities, understand customer needs, and stay abreast of industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and demonstrable ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams, sales, and other internal stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts support product launches, sales targets, and overall business growth.
  • Oversee the development of compelling marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, website content, and advertising materials, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure timely and high-quality execution of marketing activities.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals (if applicable), fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the financial services industry in Malaysia.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels, tools, and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and external agencies efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and compliance requirements related to marketing is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken) is essential.
