Job Summary

We are looking for Master Data Governance Junior Analyst to join our new and growing Global Business Services (GBS) based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of end-to-end Master Data Governance scopes in more than 18 countries (Japan, Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Europe, North America, Canada, Bangladesh).

Our Key Mission is not only for the Operational management for Master Data including processing which is Creation/Modification/Deactivation/Reactivation/analysis and reconciliation, but also the control of governance which includes defining and enforcing policies and procedures for managing data and control all kinds of risk such as fraud and human error.

This position is essential in the Master Data Governance process to provide consistent, efficient, effective, and quality deliverables of the operation, global process design, compliance to company policies and procedures, and achievement to operational performance KPIs set.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement

  • Work with Operation Manager, on regular end to end process review to identify process changes and improvements as necessary to improve performance and efficiency
  • Report to and work with Team Lead as well as other internal stakeholders such as Global Headquarter, Local Management and Line of Businesses
  • Ensure smooth collaboration with business partners (both internal & external) and contribute to foster customer experience

Operations

  • Ensure Master data are timely managed (Creation/Changes/Deactivation) in accordance with processes stated in handbook/desktop procedure (DTP)
  • Support business to collect required data(information) with no delay to ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions
  • Actively involve in issue management (within process and/or cross-process) and perform root cause analysis
  • Escalate with Manager on the finding and action for improvement in a timely manner
  • Actively involve projects and finance initiatives upon assignment
  • Compliance to internal control, company policy and company procedures to control risk(Fraud/human error etc.)
  • Support in continuous improvement initiatives within MDG regime that drive productivity and strengthen control whilst support in driving process improvement and standardization

Team Development

  • Constantly develop the required business and process knowledge and make recommendations to support continuous process improvement

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or CPA/MIA equivalent
  • Minimum 1.5 years of relevant working experience in SSC(Shared Service Center) with proven strong working experience in PTP area(Master data, Payment, AP etc)
  • Have working experience in Accounting/Finance in addition to engagement in SSC would be an advantage
  • Exposure to multinational or regional corporate business environments, or similar
  • Experience in financial/accounting tools (SAP HANA/FIORI/Business Intelligence SAP Analytics) and other operation systems (MS/Google Office, SNOW, Power BI, Power Query, Tableu, Google Looker, RPA, etc).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and other language i.e. Mandarin
  • Able to work professionally and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong ownership.
  • Experience in process modelling/documentation.
  • Keen to have service delivery-oriented mindset with proven effective decision making, problem-solving skills and act on opportunities to improve business processes or structure
