Vacancy: Master Data Analyst

Location: MK / MY (remote)

Global Master Data Services (GMDS) is a Shared Service for Master Data Management (MDM) supporting key SAP systems in JM for the majority of master data objects. It comprises team members in Mexico, US, UK, Macedonia, Malaysia and China.

The Master Data Analyst will create and maintain globally administered master data objects in SAP business solutions. The role ensures that all data is maintained according to the standards, policies and other reference documentation applicable. It also ensures that master data is maintained consistently across systems (SAP and non-SAP) that use that master data.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the master data in SAP according to the documented metadata element definitions;
  • Works within the SLA requirements of the service definition for master data maintenance;
  • Acts as subject matter expert on master data towards data owners and data requestors;
  • Ensures that data replication from / to SAP is monitored and checked for consistency and accuracy, and appropriate actions are taken when necessary;
  • Monitoring data replication across system boundaries (including external applications) and ensures that replicated data is maintained according to the requirements of the data replication specifications for the data;
  • Maintains routine quality checking on master data and takes appropriate actions on deviations from norms;
  • Ensures consistent use of data across systems;
  • Maintains adequate documentation on data usage and maintenance;
  • Maintains documentation on authorities for metadata elements. To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed;
  • Ensure that at all times company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to;

Requirements for the role:


Essential:

  • Previous data management experience
  • Experience in working directly with business teams;
  • Methodical approach, attention to detail;
  • Logical, process-based approach to problem solving;
  • Rigorous and disciplined approach;
  • Communication: Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message;
  • Decision Making: Obtaining information and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision;
  • Managing Work (including Time Management) : Effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently;
  • Navigating Complexity: Proactively and quickly making sense of complex issues; responding effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicating complicated information simply;
  • Planning & Organising: Establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently;
  • Stress Tolerance: Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity).

Desirable:


  • Experience of managing master data in SAP for a global manufacturing organization;
  • Business analysis experience;
  • Experience with SAP MDG and Business Objects Data Services.
