Material Handler

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Material Handler located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Reporting to the Plant Director, the Material Handler will play a key role in ensuring that materials are delivered to the right place at the right time, supporting overall operational efficiency and uninterrupted production. This role serves as a critical link between warehouse functions and manufacturing needs, helping maintain smooth workflow across the facility.

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse and production areas. The Material Handler supports smooth production flow by maintaining inventory accuracy, following FIFO practices, and ensuring all material handling activities comply with safety and quality standards

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and designated storage areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound materials are accurately documented and recorded.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems.
• Perform regular inventory counts and audits to verify stock accuracy.
• Report any inventory discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
• Transfer materials to assigned workstations, storage locations, and production lines as required.
• Ensure materials are stored and handled according to safety, quality, and organizational standards.
• Assist in organizing, arranging, and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse layout.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines during material handling activities.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Participate in scheduled safety training, drills, and compliance programs.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Completed SPM or Certificate or Diploma
• Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a self-motivated and professional material handler to join our warehouse department. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, then we are interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking inventory stock, documenting orders, and storing stocks.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
