Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction to students across secondary levels, including the IGCSE and/or IB curriculum. This role requires an educator who can inspire students to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strong foundation in Mathematics while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will contribute to academic excellence and support students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons for secondary school students, including IGCSE and/or IB programmes.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Foster analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through effective teaching strategies.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student development and academic improvement.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including IGCSE and IB assessments where applicable.
• Promote project-based and hands-on learning experiences to enhance understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and academic performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, resource development, and sharing of best practices.
• Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programmes.
• Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of student behavior, wellbeing, and academic integrity.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Experience teaching IGCSE and/or IB Mathematics is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of secondary Mathematics curriculum and assessment practices.
• Ability to create engaging, student-centered, and project-based learning experiences.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Experience preparing students for external examinations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and educational technology tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Passion for education, student development, and continuous professional growth.
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to supporting student success both inside and outside the classroom.
