Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembly with experience to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for material preparation, assembly, and cleaning. This physically demanding role requires heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
A pre-employment and random drug screening tests are required for this role
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
The position's essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all work performed consistently meets quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings.
- Determine the appropriate equipment or method based on requirements.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift during equipment assembly process and move raw materials across the facility.
- Set up, adjust, and operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform cleaning strictly according to standard operating procedures
- Perform intermediate-level fabrication and assembly work with minimal supervision.
- Position requires overtime, including Saturday.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years in a manufacturing, construction or warehouse environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
- Thorough experience using a wide variety of hand tools and power tools (angle grinder, bandsaw, drill presses, etc)
- Knowledge of basic computer operation.
Work Environment
- Job will generally be performed in a factory but may require international travel to a client's production facility or industrial/construction job site.
- Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
Physical Demands
- To perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to write and feel objects, tools, or operate welding machines.
- Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates. This could include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. required.
- Use standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, etc.
- Global travel.
Safety
- Complete safety training requirements.
- Participate in other training as directed by the company or manager.
- Wear Nikkiso approved PPE as needed and direct team and others to do the same as appropriate.
