Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview

To support New Product Introduction (NPI), product qualification, and manufacturing process development within the precision engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from First Article (FA) to fabrication part qualification.
• Review customer engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
• Develop process routing and Bill of Materials (BOM) for new products.
• Monitor project timelines and coordinate NPI progress.
• Design jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure smooth transition from FA to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in machining or precision engineering.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of jig and fixture design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Proactive, independent, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
