Job Responsibility
Planning: collaborating with operation and sales team to develop project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and project requirements. Contributing to the creation of project schedules and ensuring alignment with design milestones.
Conceptualization and Designs: Developing conceptual designs based on project requirements, creating detailed mechanical designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed designs.
Prototyping and test validation: Building new prototypes to validate and test design concepts to fulfil product requirement.
Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation including drawings, specification, user manual, BOM and work instructions.
Compliance and standards: Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and participate design review to identify area for improvement.
Continuous improvement: staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. Implementing design improvement based on lesson learned from previous projects.
Stakeholders management: Communicating with clients to understand their requirements and preferences.Presenting design proposals and progress updates to clients or stakeholders.
Collaboration with cross-functional team: Work closely with electrical, software, sales, and operation team to integrate and ensure project success.
Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating platforms and forums for employees to share their knowledge, experiences, and insights with their colleagues.
Accountability and ownership: Taking accountability for every task that are being assigned or by initiative. Arising matters are being addressed and resolve by planning out for both short- and long-term solutions.
Training: Conduct training that being assigned and apply the knowledge learnt in work environment.
Requirements
A recognized engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Product design or equivalent.
