Project Engineer Mechanical (Data Center Project)

Contract Type: 1-year renewable
About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support and oversee mechanical systems for a hyperscale data center project in Selangor. The position will coordinate HVAC, chilled water, and fire protection systems in a high-availability facility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mechanical designs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Coordinate installation works with other disciplines and ensure quality control.
- Monitor site progress, testing & commissioning, and report project milestones.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to specifications.
- Support resolution of technical or coordination issues on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics/IT for ELV).
- Minimum 5 years experience in building, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
- Experience in data center, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Candidates currently residing in Malaysia with valid work rights will be prioritized.
- Candidates with 2 months notice period prioritized.
- Background and medical fitness checks required.
