Job Description
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical engineering works at construction project sites.
- Monitor the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of mechanical works.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical installations comply with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Prepare work schedules, progress reports, technical documentation, and project records.
- Identify technical issues during construction and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor the performance and operation of mechanical equipment and support troubleshooting activities when required.
- Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and company policies.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other engineering and site-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, construction projects, or site engineering.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience in site coordination, project execution, and quality control is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and construction site safety practices.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willing to work at different project sites, weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours based on project requirements.
- No formal educational qualification required.
