Job Overview

We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Media Planning Manager to lead media planning initiatives while serving as a key front-end partner to clients. This role requires strong communication, selling and relationship management skills, with the ability to translate client objectives into effective media strategies and campaign executions.

In today's evolving digital landscape, the ideal candidate should also be adaptive to emerging AI technologies and capable of leveraging AI-driven tools, insights and automation to enhance media planning efficiency, campaign performance and client servicing excellence.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1)   Client Servicing & Front-End Leadership

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and manage day-to-day communication and building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients by translating business objectives into clear, performance-driven media strategies.
  • Understand clients business objectives, marketing goals and campaign expectations.
  • Build strong long-term client relationships through proactive servicing and strategic consultation.
  • Present media proposals, campaign strategies and performance reports confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead client conversations with a consultative and commercial mindset, identifying opportunities for growth and business expansion.

2)  Strategic Media Planning & Thinking

  • Stay ahead of emerging media, digital, and consumer trends, proactively identifying new opportunities for brand growth and competitive advantage.
  • Develop integrated media plans across digital, social, offline and performance channels.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic media thinking by connecting consumer insights, market trends, and brand objectives into impactful media solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate media opportunities and recommend optimised channel mix, budget allocation and campaign direction.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, video content and media teams to ensure campaign alignment.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.

3)  AI-Driven Marketing & Innovation

  • Leverage AI-powered tools and platforms to improve media planning, audience targeting, campaign optimisation and reporting efficiency.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI trends in advertising, media buying, consumer analytics and marketing technology and proactively integrate relevant tools into daily workflows.
  • Utilise AI-assisted insights to enhance decision-making and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate automation, predictive analytics and data-driven optimisation into media strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams to improve workflow efficiency through AI-enabled processes and tools.
  • Evaluate new digital and AI marketing technologies to support innovation and competitive advantage.

4)  Business Development & Selling

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Support pitching, proposal development and new business presentations.
  • Possess strong persuasive and consultative selling skills to convert opportunities into business growth.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activities and emerging media opportunities.

5)  Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with media vendors, platforms and partners for campaign implementation.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule, within budget and according to client expectations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports and media schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in media planning, advertising agency, digital marketing or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital media platforms, paid media, social media advertising and campaign analytics.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools, automation platforms and data analytics solutions is an added advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong selling and client management capabilities.
  • Comfortable serving in a front-end/client-facing role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in media reporting tools.
  • Experience in agency environment is an added advantage.
