JOB SUMMARY
We are hiring Manager, Medical Affairs, to assist to see the overall Medical Affairs functions and activities and its compliance to local policies, accreditation standards and mandatory regulatory requirements. Responsible for the administration of the medical affairs function in managing medical practitioners matters and maintenance of the Hospital License. Providing required direction in the area of clinical governance, clinical safety and risk management.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Clinical Governance
- Work with the Senior Manager, PIC/Medical Director, CEO, Clinical Directorate or Medical Advisory Committee (incl. sub-committees), Divisional Heads and Department Head to formulate policies for clinical governance with the ultimate aim of improving clinical outcomes and patient safety.
- Liaise with the PIC / Medical Director and MAC Chairman to ensure clinical governance policies and clinical practice are in accordance to best practice and recommended guidelines.
- Ensure the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) and MAC's sub-committees, carries out its advisory role and conduct meetings as stipulated in the bylaws.
2.Recruitment of Doctors / Consultant
- Assist in the identification of specialties and planning reviews of medical practitioners recruitment with the Senior Manager and PIC/Medical Director.
- Work with the Credentialing & Privileging Committee in ensuring required processes are in accordance to current requirements.
3.Administration of Doctors / Consultants Records
- Ensure contractual agreement of all medical practitioners are maintained to ensure its validity, and all copies are kept secured. This includes liaising with the Legal Department, PIC / Medical Director and CEO for the necessary preparation of documentations.
- Ensure annual practicing license (APC), national specialist registry (NSR) registration, professional medical indemnity coverage and other relevant certification for the medical practitioner is valid at all times.
- Ongoing administration i.e. guiding the Executive staff in ensuring medical practitioners clinic and on-call schedules/rosters are up to date to ensure adequate specialty coverage.
- Assist PIC/Medical Director and CEO to review Consultants performance as agreed in Consultancy Agreements.
- Ensure safekeeping of documentations which may include e-incident reports, patient complaint letters, legal suits etc.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent, in any related field.
- At least 5 years experience in Healthcare management role (preferably in tertiary healthcare setup, quality assurance and management role with an understanding of clinical framework is required.
- Microsoft Office proficient
