Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Interpreter. The interpreter will provide real-time interpretation for meetings, conferences, and other situations, ensuring clear and accurate communication between parties. Additional responsibilities include translating written documents, supporting cross-cultural understanding, and maintaining confidentiality in all communications. The role requires attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and linguistic precision.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Experience in interpretation and translation, including real-time and written translations
- Cultural awareness, attention to detail, and high-level listening and comprehension capabilities
- Time management skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with technology and remote communication tools, such as video conferencing platforms
- Degree in Languages, Translation Studies, Linguistics, or a related field is an advantage
- Prior experience in professional interpretation or certification as an interpreter is beneficial
