Medical Officer, Histopathology
Key Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination and handling of tissue specimens in accordance with established laboratory protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in supporting the diagnostic workflow within the histopathology laboratory, ensuring timely and accurate specimen processing.
- Maintain proper documentation and specimen tracking to ensure traceability and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Work closely with pathologists and laboratory personnel to facilitate efficient case processing and diagnosis.
- Ensure strict compliance with laboratory quality assurance, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of laboratory practice and continuous quality improvement
Key Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a tissue diagnostic or histopathology laboratory.
- Demonstrated experience in grossing of pathology specimens.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle specimens accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment.
