Who You Are:

You are a motivated engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in semiconductor backend, optoelectronics, or precision electronics manufacturing. You are interested in developing expertise in metrology systems and measurement methods used in high precision manufacturing.

You have strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset. You work well with cross functional teams and are eager to contribute to product quality, process stability, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support Metrology processes for Level-2 Automotive products. The role focuses on measurement system setup, process monitoring, data analysis and continuous improvement of metrology capability.

The engineer will support new product introduction (NPI) and process sustaining, working closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate measurement of critical product parameters. The role also owns several In-Process-Quality-Check (IPQC) steps within the manufacturing assembly process flow.

What You Will Do:

  • Support daily engineering activities for metrology and measurement systems in manufacturing.
  • Support NPI builds, including metrology setup, measurement validation and ramp to production.
  • Monitor and sustain process performance through SPC, data analysis and measurement trending.
  • Develop, maintain and optimize metrology programs, recipes and measurement methods.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable measurement of critical product parameters based on GD&T requirements.
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) including GR&R to ensure measurement capability and reliability.
  • Investigate measurement or drive process issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain process documentation such as Work Instructions, Control Plans and FMEA.
  • Support equipment qualification, calibration and measurement correlation activities.
  • Work closely with Quality, Process and Equipment Engineering to support audits and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor backend, optoelectronics or precision electronics manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of metrology principles, dimensional measurement and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with MSA including GR&R, SPC and basic DOE.
  • Exposure to optical and vision metrology systems such as Nikon, Mitutoyo OMM, Keyence IM series or equivalent; will be added advantage.
  • Familiarity with bond strength or reliability test equipment such as Nordson DAGE is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills with ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IATF 16949 or Lean Six Sigma concepts is a plus.

Education (Minimum Level)

  • Bachelor's

Field of Study

  • Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material Engineering and any related Engineering field

Years of Experience (Minimum)

  • 1 - 3 years
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure in assembly process in semiconductor and LED industry
