Job Description
- Perform assigned testing activities according to test methods, ESOP and QC plan and to provide accurate test results on timely basis.
- Conduct, follow and ensure that compliance of laboratory activities is meeting with regulatory standard (ISO/IEC 17025) and national legislation during all of the tasks required.
- Participate in MS IEC/ISO17025 Accreditation by studying methods and formulating a plan, complete audit work papers, assist in tracking corrective action and ensures completion.
- Monitor and ensure laboratory activities carried out in accordance with Eurofins policy, code of ethic, general rules and the relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Develop and prepare documents for all protocols as needed
- Organize and perform daily testing activities according to sample quantity, test methods, ESOP and QC plan.
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality on Information and data affecting on behalf of customers and company integrity.
- Maintain and execute the company's Health and Safety policy and procedures, and ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken to address any faults/potential hazards in equipment / machinery, test systems or facilities.
- Provide / assist in training and developing other staff in activities / procedures in for approved Standard Operating Procedure.
- To monitor technical screening on incoming samples and to resolve any issues.
- Isolate and make cultures of bacteria; ensure functionality, and troubleshooting abnormalities.
- Monitor temperature, moisture, aeration, nutrition and other microorganisms in prescribed media, controlling moisture, aeration, temperature, nutrition.
- Order, monitor inventory of media and consumables, chemicals and other materials from laboratory suppliers.
- Ensure all samples are properly disposed and follow environmental regulations.
- Perform on-site sampling when necessary
- Perform development and ad-hoc activities as assigned by the superior / manager.
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology or related field with a strong focus on Microbiology
- Experience in microbiology testing procedures and understanding of testing requirements in an industry setting
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements (if have)
- Certified-MJMM Food Analyst
