My client is a forward-thinking end-user organization dedicated to driving digital transformation through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365FO). With a strong regional presence across Asia and a commitment to innovation, they are assembling a dedicated ERP team in Malaysia that will support multiple countries. This initiative aims to enhance their ERP landscape, streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enable long-term growth.

Job scope:

As a D365 F&O Business Analyst with expertise in Finance and Supply Chain, you will act as the bridge between business users and the ERP technical team. You will gather requirements, design functional solutions, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of D365 F&O across regional operations. Your role will include:

  • Engaging business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements across Finance and Supply Chain functions.
  • Translating business needs into functional specifications and ensuring alignment with D365 F&O capabilities.
  • Configuring Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Project Accounting) and Supply Chain (Inventory, Procurement, Sales & Distribution, Warehousing) modules to meet business processes.
  • Supporting the design and rollout of new process flows, ensuring best practices and compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to guide customizations, integrations, and ISV/third-party solutions.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation such as functional design documents (FDDs), process maps, and user manuals.
  • Leading workshops, fit-gap analysis sessions, and solution walkthroughs with Finance and Supply Chain users.
  • Supporting system testing phases (SIT, UAT, regression), preparing test scripts, and validating outcomes with users.
  • Delivering user training and knowledge transfer sessions to Finance and Supply Chain teams across multiple countries.
  • Acting as Tier-2 support for functional issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Partnering with project managers to ensure milestones are achieved and risks are managed effectively.
  • Staying up to date with Microsoft's D365 F&O roadmap and recommending process improvements or system enhancements.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in D365 F&O or AX implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Project Accounting) and Supply Chain modules (Procurement, Inventory, Sales & Distribution, Warehousing).
  • Hands-on experience in full-cycle ERP implementation: requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS) and data migration concepts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Supply Chain, and IT teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a regional, multi-country ERP environment.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications in Finance or Supply Chain (preferred).
