Mill Engineer

Genting Plantations Berhad, established in 1980, is one of Malaysia's leading oil palm plantation companies and a subsidiary of Genting Berhad. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mill Engineer based in Sandakan. The Mill Engineer will oversee the operations of palm oil milling facilities while ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, managing production processes, troubleshooting machinery issues, supervising mill personnel, and implementing measures to improve operational performance and sustainability. Collaboration with teams to maximize productivity and meet production targets is a vital aspect of this role.

• Strong technical knowledge in the operations and maintenance of milling equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Experience in process optimization, system improvement, and sustainability practices.
• Solid leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with palm oil milling processes and standards; certifications are an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sandakan and adapt to the operational demands of the role.
