Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineering Lead with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the DevOps team, implementing best practices, and ensuring the smooth deployment of applications in a cloud environment. This role requires a deep understanding of GCP services and CI/CD tools to enhance our development and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
- Manage and optimize GCP resources, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and cloud computing.
Mandatory Skills
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering or related roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
