Job Brief
Motor Specialist will support the development and execution of the company's Motor Strategy, focusing on growth, innovation, and partnership initiatives. This includes embedding insurance and non-insurance components within the motor ecosystem, developing telematics and safety incentive programs, and building strong commercial collaborations that deliver value to all stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategy Execution & Project Management
- Support the implementation of the Motor Strategy roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects involving internal teams (Underwriting, Product, Tech, Operations) and external partners.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, and propose proactive solutions to maintain momentum.
- Market Research & Insights
- Conduct market scans to identify emerging trends in the motor ecosystem (e.g., telematics, usage-based insurance, EV adoption, embedded insurance).
- Benchmark competitors and new distribution models to support product and partnership recommendations.
- Prepare research briefs and business proposals to support strategic decision-making.
- Partnership Development & Commercial Negotiation
- Identify, approach, and engage potential motor ecosystem partners (e.g., OEMs, Car Park Management, Car Spa, Tinting & etc)
- Craft compelling partnership propositions and commercial models that create win-win outcomes for all parties.
- Support negotiation and onboarding of new partners, balancing strategic alignment with commercial viability.
- Innovation & Product Development
- Explore new and innovative solutions that integrate telematics, behavioral data, or safety incentives into motor propositions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prototype and pilot new initiatives.
- Evaluate pilot outcomes and provide insights for scale-up or refinement.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for management on project progress and outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the Motor Strategy team in meetings and discussions with partners and regulators when required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in insurance, strategy, project management, or partnerships, preferably in insurance.
- Strong coordination and project management skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Able to conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business decisions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other basic project tools.
- A proactive team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
