Overview:

The Murex Senior Support Specialist provides senior-level technical, functional, and operational support for core Murex and treasury systems. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring smooth End-of-Day (EOD) and Start-of-Day (SOD) batch execution, robust downstream interface integration, proactive system tuning, and the successful execution of major technical refreshes, environment setups, and SIT/UAT testing cycles.

Responsibilities:

. Deliver specialized technical support for Murex Front Office (FO) configurations and functional modules across Treasury operations.
. Manage and optimize background processing services, specifically OSP (Processing Organizer / Fast Mode), service threads, and load balancing across application servers.

. Conduct root-cause analysis for complex application issues, performance bottlenecks, and service disruptions to ensure high availability and application health.


. Author, review, and execute technical runbooks for critical maintenance tasks, including MXML Transaction Purging, trade purge.
. Coordinate script compilations and resolve post-health-check findings following major system operations or upgrades.
. Collaborate closely with Database Administrators (DBAs) on Oracle database maintenance, including undo tablespace tuning, tablespace release management, and SQL query performance optimization.


. Oversee Core End-of-Day (EOD) and Start-of-Day (SOD) sequence runs to ensure timely completion of daily processing cycles.
. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot batch job dependencies using enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M or Zena in coordination with GTI Batch Management.
. Resolve batch execution constraints, script failures, and data file transfer delays across SIT, UAT, and Production environments.



. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot interface connections between Murex and downstream consumer applications.
. Manage specialized interface configurations, including Singapore (SG) source code testing, and downstream pipeline flows.
. Support key downstream integration channels, such as Singapore Related Apps, Host and Warehouse.
. Oversee SFTP configurations and directory structures across target interface locations.



. Drive environment readiness and technical execution for SIT and UAT cycles for projects.

. Manage environment infrastructure setups, including Control-M job scheduling, Tectia SFTP connections, OTEL monitoring, and STP interfaces
. Enforce script-level file formatting standards in interface files delivered to downstream systems.
. Coordinate Production Change Requests (CRs) and deployment tracking to ensure defect fixes and enhancements are deployed seamlessly into production environments.


. Enforce security protocols and privileged access controls governance for Dev/SIT/UAT and Production/Pre-Prod environments.
. Lead annual IT housekeeping exercises, user access reviews, and audit compliance reviews across Treasury systems.
. Maintain complete operational documentation, technical runbooks, disaster recovery (DR) guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:

. Murex Application Architecture: Comprehensive functional and technical knowledge of Murex modules, Front Office (FO) setup, OSP, Fast Mode, MXML Exchange, and Datamart reporting.
. Operating Systems & Shell Scripting: Advanced expertise in Unix/Linux shell scripting (.sh), command-line utilities, and text processing tools.
. Database & Querying: Strong proficiency in Oracle database concepts, SQL query optimization, tablespace maintenance, and execution of database purging routines.
. Batch Scheduling Tools: Hands-on operational experience with enterprise job schedulers such as Control-M or Zena.
. Secure File Transfer & Connectivity: In-depth knowledge of secure transfer protocols (SFTP, SSH), directory path structures, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
. Release & Testing Governance: Demonstrated experience in handling multi- cycle SIT/UAT testing, major technical refreshes, Production Change Requests (CRs), and release deployment tracking.

. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
. Experience: 5 to 8 years of direct technical experience supporting Murex or core Treasury platforms within a banking or financial services organization.
. Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Treasury products (FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Swaps, Bond, Equities, Collateral Management) and post-trade processing workflows.
