Network Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Network Architect to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a strategic role focused on designing, engineering, and governing robust network architectures that align with global business and IT strategies.

• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• Open to: Local Malaysians and Expats currently in KL.
• Requirements: Candidates must have a maximum 30-day notice period and the ability to provide/obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

• Strategic Roadmap Management: Update and maintain Architecture, Engineering, and Operational roadmaps for networking services to ensure alignment with Business/IT Strategy.
• Solution Design: Review and provide technical recommendations for highly available network services, supporting the convergence of data, voice (Unified Comms/Contact Center), and multi-cloud architectures.
• Performance Optimization: Lead initiatives to identify and remediate performance or scaling bottlenecks within the enterprise landscape.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Enterprise Architecture, PMO, Infrastructure Leads, and managed service partners to oversee the lifecycle of solutionsfrom evaluation and piloting to operational delivery.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure all network and cloud solutions adhere to security standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate audit strategies.
• Resilience Planning: Develop Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans, performing business impact analyses to ensure high availability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across business units to foster partnerships and drive technical choices that provide high business value.

1. Mandatory (Core) Skills:

• 812 years of overall Networking experience with 35 years specifically in Architecture or Design.
• Enterprise Architecture: Proven expertise in designing highly available, scalable network infrastructures, blueprints, and design patterns.
• Cloud Networking: Proficiency in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid integrations (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Networking Stack: Deep knowledge of Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), WAN/LAN, and Data Center networking.
• Unified Communications: Experience supporting converged data/voice networks, VoIP, and Contact Center platforms.
• Security & Risk: Strong grasp of network security architecture, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

2. Preferred Background & Skills:

• Experience within Banking, Insurance, or large-scale Enterprise environments.
• Financial Modeling: Ability to perform TCO analysis and infrastructure cost optimization.
• Methodology: Experience defining templates for requirements gathering, peer reviews, and reusable solution patterns.

• Networking: CCNP or CCIE.
• Cloud: AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• Frameworks: TOGAF (Architecture Governance) or ITIL.
