As a Network Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring network availability, security, and performance across development, UAT, and production environments. Your work directly impacts system reliability, incident resolution, and the smooth delivery of Finexus products and services.
About the Role
The Network Engineer supports the day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Finexus corporate and production network infrastructure. This role is hands-on and technical, covering network configuration, connectivity support, vendor coordination, compliance assistance, and operational readiness.
You will work closely with senior Network Engineers, Cloud, Security, Application, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to ensure stable, secure, and compliant network operations.

Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Manage and support corporate, development, UAT, and production networks including ISP connectivity, firewalls, switches, routing, and VPN connections.
- Perform configuration tasks such as:
-Firewalls: port access, routing, NAT
-Switches: VLANs, LAG, ACLs
- Create, manage, and revoke VPN user accounts.
- Configure and support IPSec VPN and SpeedFusion VPN tunnels.
- Maintain accurate network asset inventory.
Cabling & Infrastructure
- Perform physical network cabling activities including laying, crimping, testing, and tracing network cables.
- Assist with network installation, replacement, and upgrade activities during working hours or scheduled maintenance windows.
Troubleshooting & Monitoring
- Troubleshoot network issues such as packet loss, connection timeout/refusal, routing failures, and connectivity disruptions.
- Use diagnostic tools including ping, telnet, traceroute, nslookup/dig, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- Support network monitoring using SNMP and monitoring tools to ensure timely detection of incidents.
Operations Readiness & Support
- Provide 24x7 network support on a rotational basis.
- Support midnight or weekend activities for:
-Network maintenance
-Incident resolution
-Deployment and go-live activities
Business Continuity & Deployment
- Assist in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, including testing and operational support.
- Provide network support during deployment and production go-live events.
Security, Compliance & Audits
- Support corporate certifications, regulatory compliance, audits, and due diligence activities including:
-PCI-DSS, PCI-3DS, PCI-PIN
-ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001
-SOC 2, BNM RMiT
- Collect and prepare evidence and documentation required for audits and compliance reviews.
- Support network-related security services such as DNS, reverse proxy, and Anti-DDoS solutions.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with application and internal teams on network connectivity, troubleshooting, and compliance requirements.
- Actively pursue self-improvement through courses, training, and certifications
Key Requirements
Academic Qualification
- Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Networking, or related disciplines.
Experience
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in computer networking, software development, or related fields.
- Exposure to enterprise or production environments is an advantage.
Technical Skills
-IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT
-Network troubleshooting and monitoring
-Tools: ping, telnet, traceroute, nslookup/dig, tcpdump, Wireshark
-SNMP and basic network monitoring
- Basic scripting skills are an advantage.
- Exposure to network architecture, network design, automation, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform) is an advantage.
- CCNA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
