Program Overview

The NexGEM program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders at Nexperia. This immersive Graduate Trainee Program offers a deep dive into the heart of semiconductor manufacturing. You will rotate through or focus on key functions - Operations, Sustaining & Central Engineering or Quality Assurance to build a holistic understanding of our world-class processes.

Key Responsibilities

As part of NexGEM, you will be empowered to:

  • Learn & Master: Gain comprehensive knowledge of Nexperia's operational workflows, engineering standards, and quality management systems.
  • Analyze & Innovate: Study existing processes, conceptualize improvements, and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate on Projects: Support senior engineers in executing experiments, technical projects, and real-world troubleshooting.
  • Deliver Results: Conclude your program by presenting a comprehensive technical study on a chosen subject, complete with actionable solution recommendations.
  • Professional Growth: Proactively develop your technical competencies and soft skills through hands-on fieldwork and mentorship.

  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership through extra-curricular activities, sports, or student organizations.
  • Communication: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficient in data analysis, research, and using digital tools/software for documentation.
  • Resilience & Drive: Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Hands-on Approach: A passion for fieldwork and a boots on the ground attitude toward technical problem-solving.

Job Specifications


  • Academic Excellence: A recognized Bachelor's Degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.3 (or equivalent).
  • Educational Background: Open to graduates from the following disciplines:
  • Material Science / Metallurgical Engineering
  • Physics / Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering (or related technical fields)
  • Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior Internship experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment is a distinct advantage.
