Non-Executive Director
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Providing advisory support and assistance in establishing local business and sales structures in Malaysia and other countries within the APAC region.
- Active involvement in sales activities, including acquiring new clients, developing relationships with strategic customers, and supporting commercial negotiations in the Malaysian market and across the APAC region.
- Representing the company in commercial relations with clients, business partners, and local institutions.
- Participating in business meetings and business travel to clients within Malaysia and, where necessary, other countries in the APAC region.
- Cooperation and coordination with local advisory entities.
- Providing advisory support in local market development, identifying sales opportunities, and recommending directions for expansion and commercial growth.
- Conducting and overseeing market research, analysis of competitors, market trends, and sales potential.
- Providing advisory support and assistance in fulfilling all formal and legal requirements related to the registration and operation of the company in Malaysia.
- Supporting the Management Board in matters related to corporate governance, compliance with local regulations, and best market practices.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Experience in the role of a Non-executive Director, supervisory board member, or in an advisory capacity, combined with hands-on experience in sales or business development.
- Knowledge of business, regulatory, and cultural conditions in Malaysia and the APAC region.
- Experience in establishing subsidiaries, building sales structures, or entering new markets.
- Willingness to undertake business travel and attend in-person meetings with clients in Malaysia.
- Ability to work effectively with local legal, tax, and financial advisors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of the Malay language will be an additional asset.
- High standards of professional ethics, independence, and business accountability.
