Role Description This volunteer Nutritionist role is a hybrid position based in Kajang, with some flexibility for work from home. The Nutritionist will provide nutritional counseling and education to individuals and groups, focusing on healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes. Daily activities may include conducting assessments, developing personalized nutrition plans, supporting weight management programs, and delivering workshops or educational materials. The role also involves collaborating with academic staff or community partners, maintaining accurate records, and staying updated on current nutrition and dietetics research to inform best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Nutrition and Dietetics to assess dietary needs and develop appropriate plans.
- Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling and Nutrition Education to guide individuals and groups toward healthier choices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Weight Management to design and support evidence-based intervention programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse communities and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage time well, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Relevant academic background in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related health science field; professional certification or registration is an advantage.
- Familiarity with public health principles, community outreach, and culturally sensitive nutrition practices is beneficial.
