Job Description

Job Summary:

The Officer, Human Capital Management (HCM) supports the administration, maintenance and optimisation of the organisation's Workday Human Capital Management system. The role works closely with HR, Finance, IT and business stakeholders to provide system support, troubleshoot issues, implement configuration updates and translate business requirements into system solutions to ensure efficient HR digital operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration and day-to-day operations of the Workday HCM system, ensuring system accuracy, reliability and data integrity.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues reported by HCM users, managers and employees, and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders or external consultants when required.
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements related to HCM processes and translate them into Workday system configurations or enhancements.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Workday modules such as Core HCM, Job Profiles, Organisations, Security Roles and Business Processes.
  • Support Workday implementation activities including testing, data validation, system configuration and deployment support.
  • Perform system testing (including UAT) for new features, configuration updates and system releases to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Support HCM teams in maintaining data accuracy including organisational structures, job profiles, supervisory organisations and employee data.
  • Assist with system audits, data quality reviews and reporting requirements related to HCM systems.
  • Develop user guides, documentation and knowledge resources to support HCM system usage.
  • Provide user support and training to HCM teams and business users on Workday processes and functionality.
  • Work closely with HCM, Finance and IT teams to support system integrations and cross-functional processes.
  • Monitor Workday updates and new features, supporting evaluation and adoption where beneficial.
  • Work closely with the HCM Managers in Singapore and collaborate with the HCM team on cross-border HCM matters;
  • Participate in HCM Initiatives, organisational development efforts, and ad-hoc projects as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting HRIS platforms, preferably Workday HCM.
  • Understanding of HCM processes such as employee lifecycle management, organisational structures and job architecture.
  • Experience in system configuration, testing or implementation support within HCM systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills to support HCM users and system stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including HCM, Finance and IT.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting or Excel is an advantage.
  • Good command of English, with strong writing and communication skills;
  • This position is based in Johor Bahru, with the ability to travel when required.
