As an
Onboarding Specialist, your main responsibility is to conduct clear, practical trainings that help merchants confidently use StoreHub's POS system in their daily operations. The Merchant Onboarding Manager (MOM) handles scheduling and coordination with the merchant. You take over once a session is booked reviewing handover details, preparing for the session, and delivering training either online or onsite.
This is a
hands-on training role, not a sales role. Your success is measured by the number of trainings completed, the quality of your sessions, and how well merchants are set up to operate independently after training.
What you will do:
- Prepare for each training session by reviewing the merchant's package, deal details, and handover notes from Sales and MOM
- Confirm training details with the merchant, including session format (online or onsite), attendees, and readiness
- Deliver full POS trainings for cashiers, supervisors, outlet managers, and business owners
- Guide merchants through key workflows such as:
- Opening and closing shifts
- Taking orders and applying discounts
- Collecting payments
- Viewing basic reports
- Use practical, real-world examples tailored to the merchant's business type (e.g. caf, restaurant, retail shop)
- Conduct advanced or focused trainings on features such as reporting, promotions, table management, basic inventory, or customer management when required
- Run trainings online via Zoom or Google Meet, and travel for onsite trainings, including to other states when needed
- Represent StoreHub professionally during all sessions, maintaining a helpful and supportive presence
- Summarise training outcomes and action items after each session
- Log training notes, key questions, and potential risks in internal systems such as Salesforce or Intercom
- Flag follow-up needs or issues to MOM or Support (Care) for next actions
- Observe recurring questions or post-training issues and share feedback to improve training materials and onboarding processes
How you will need to be:
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role such as trainer, customer support, customer success, implementation, or F&B/retail operations (e.g. supervisor, floor manager, outlet trainer)
- Comfortable speaking to groups and answering questions live, both online and face-to-face
- Able to explain systems and processes clearly in step-by-step, non-technical language
- Strong sense of responsibility and organisation you prepare properly, show up on time, and follow through
- Willing and able to travel for onsite trainings, including outside Klang Valley
- Experience with POS systems, SaaS products, or F&B/retail operations is a plus
- Familiarity with online training tools (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet) is an advantage
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Intercom, Lark, Slack, or other CRM/ticketing systems is a plus
- Patient, empathetic, and confident in teaching people with different learning speeds and tech comfort levels
- Practical mindset with genuine enjoyment in helping others learn and succeed
