Operations Coordinator

As Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operational activities, liaising between various departments, and supporting the supervisory team in achieving operational excellence. This role is fundamental to maintaining our operational standards and contributing to the success of our business objectives.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinating daily operational activities across manufacturing, transport and logistics functions to ensure seamless workflows
2. Supporting team leaders and supervisors in monitoring and optimising operational efficiency and performance metrics
3. Liaising with different departments to facilitate communication and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of operational processes, activities and schedules
5. Assisting in the planning and scheduling of transport and logistics movements to meet operational deadlines
6. Supporting inventory management and stock tracking procedures to ensure accurate record-keeping
7. Identifying operational bottlenecks and contributing to process improvement initiatives
8. Providing administrative support to the supervisory team and operational staff as required
9. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards across operational areas
10. Assisting with staff scheduling and ensuring adequate resource allocation for operational needs

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in operations coordination, logistics coordination or a similar supervisory or coordinator role within manufacturing, transport or logistics environments
2. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
4. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and warehouse or operations management systems
5. Sound understanding of health, safety and quality protocols relevant to manufacturing and logistics operations
6. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and contribute to workable solutions
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation
8. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements
9. A proactive approach to supporting operational teams and contributing to continuous improvement
