Job Description
- Lead and oversee all site operations including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and maintenance.
- Drive operational performance across key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
- Ensure alignment with global manufacturing standards and operational strategies.
- Implement and strengthen Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Improve production efficiency, manufacturing processes, and plant productivity.
- Drive operational discipline and standardisation across manufacturing operations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products while meeting customer project timelines.
- Strengthen production planning, capacity management, and workflow efficiency.
- Support the introduction of new products and manufacturing technologies.
- Partner with supply chain teams to optimise material planning, inventory management, and supplier performance.
- Ensure operational readiness to support complex project deliveries for global customers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations leadership team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen organisational capabilities across engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Work closely with regional leadership to support capacity planning, operational strategy, and investment initiatives.
- Support business growth through operational scalability and manufacturing capability development.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Operations Director Should Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Strong understanding of customized or engineered products with high-mix, low volume manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience in product transfer, NPI or site capability build-up
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
