You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

  • Designing and developing packaging solutions for new and existing products, including corrugated cartons, cushioning materials, and transportation packaging.
  • Conducting packaging evaluations, validation testing, and root cause analysis to improve product protection, quality, and transportation performance.
  • Supporting the development, validation, and continuous improvement of metal and plastic coating and painting processes, including surface preparation, application, curing, and finishing.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve operational performance.
  • Leading cost reduction, process improvement, and sustainability initiatives through research, testing, implementation, and performance optimization.
  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOMs, test reports, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing, packaging, and coating-related issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations engineering, or a related technical engineering role.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing or production processes.
  • Experience with metal and/or plastic coating or painting processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience creating or interpreting technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar CAD tools.
  • Experience using SAP or another ERP system for engineering, manufacturing, or BOM-related activities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing, quality, or process-related challenges.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Experience designing and developing packaging solutions, including corrugated cartons, cushioning materials, and transportation packaging.
  • Experience conducting packaging validation testing using ISTA or similar transportation and packaging standards.
  • Knowledge of packaging cost optimization, logistics efficiency, container utilization, and material reduction strategies.
  • Experience working directly with packaging suppliers to evaluate materials, develop prototypes, and implement packaging improvements.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices related to packaging optimization, recyclability, and environmental impact reduction.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI), including packaging development, validation, and implementation activities
