Job Description

To lead and optimise end-to-end plant operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) targets. The role ensures efficient production planning and execution, continuous improvement, compliance with statutory and Prym standards, and cross-functional alignment across Production, Engineering/Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

  • Lead daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets.
  • Ensure smooth workflow across production, warehouse, and related functions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct basic safety checks and ensure corrective actions are closed.

Quality & Process Control

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions for recurring issues.

Planning & Delivery

  • Coordinate with planning and supply chain to ensure materials, manpower, and machines are ready.
  • Improve on-time delivery and schedule adherence.

Cost & Productivity Improvement

  • Monitor production efficiency and reduce downtime and waste.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, basic Lean projects).

People Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff.
  • Manage attendance, discipline, training, and performance.

Reporting

  • Track daily/weekly KPIs and report performance to management.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, downtime, productivity, quality defects)
  • Familiar with continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, Lean basics)
  • Able to work cross-functionally (Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse)
  • Proficient in MS Excel; ERP/MRP system experience is an advantage

Preferred (Added Advantage)

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green Belt)
  • Experience managing multi-shift operations
  • Experience in audits or ISO systems (e.g., ISO 9001/14001, if applicable)
