Operations Officer
Job Summary
The Operations Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of banking processes. This individual will be responsible for supporting various operational functions to maintain service quality and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor daily banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Process customer requests, inquiries, and complaints efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Perform reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to mitigate operational risks.
- Assist in the preparation of operational reports and documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in system testing and upgrades to ensure smooth implementation and functionality.
- Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking operations or a similar role, preferably within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Malaysian banking industry is an advantage.
