Overview:

Vorwerk is seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to join our team as Operations Specialist. The role will act as the main bridge between planning and execution across logistics, inventory, and procurement functions. This role will own key forecasting inputs and analytics that drive availability, cost efficiency, and service performance. Partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service, you'll transform data into operational decisionsoptimizing stock levels, supplier commitments, transport plans, and exception management.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Forecasting & Analytics

  • Consolidate and validate demand signals (statistical forecast, sales input, promotions, seasonality, NPI) and translate them into supply, logistics, and procurement plans.
  • Perform ABC/XYZ segmentation and service-class mapping; recommend safety stocks, reorder points, and min/max policies per segment and location.
  • Run what-if/scenario simulations for launches, campaigns, and constraints (capacity, lead-time shifts, MOQ changes, transport delays) and propose mitigation plans.
  • Maintain planning master data (lead times, MOQ, pack sizes, planning calendars) and monitor impact of changes on supply reliability and inventory.
  • Build predictive signals and alerts (e.g., at-risk SKUs, E&O exposure, impending stockouts) and automate reporting where possible.
  • Partner with Finance on demand/supply alignment for S&OP, including risk/opportunity ranges and inventory/COGS implications.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the accuracy across warehouses (bonded/non-bonded/ SG) and channels using demand signals, safety stocks, and reorder points.
  • Set and adjust inventory policies by SKU/DC based on variability, lead time, and service targets; rebalance stock across nodes as needed.
  • Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory; quantify E&O risk and recommend actions (transfers, promotions, refurbishment, controlled runout).
  • Execute and reconcile cycle counts; analyze variances to fix process or master-data root causes.
  • Coordinate phase-in/phase-out plans with clean runout metrics to minimize write-offs.
  • Coordinate with IT, Customer Care and Finance for inbound and outbound process to ensure the data accuracy.

Procurement Support

  • Assist with purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Liaise with suppliers on confirmations, reschedules, shortages, and quality issues; escalate risks proactively.

Logistics Operations

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with Incoterms, customs, and trade regulations.
  • Align transport capacity and modes with forecasted volumes; simulate lane impacts from demand spikes or promotions.
  • Track 3PL/carrier performance; use analytics to identify route-level bottlenecks, damage hotspots, and cost outliers.
  • Manage exceptions (delays, shortages, customs holds) through data-driven prioritization and escalation.

Compliance, Quality, and Sustainability

  • Ensure adherence to trade, data, and inventory control policies; maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality on non-conformances using data to quantify impact and close corrective actions.

KEY INTERACTIONS & STAKEHOLDERS

Internal Relations

  • Working with the rest of the marketing team to provide them with recipe content for various projects. Assisting at events with the rest of the team.
  • Working with Customer Care / Commercial teams to respond to customer queries and concerns related to recipes.
  • Consistent communication with Vorwerk International stakeholders is central to the role.

External Relations

  • Managing the network of external recipe testers, including training, overseeing and analysing results, and organising administration related to testers, such as payment.
  • Agency/service provider management: Photoshoot organisation. Planning shoots with photographers, food stylists, prop stylists, external assistants.
  • Collaborating with other markets when translating their recipes or working on a group project like an international cookbook.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years in supply chain operations with measurable experience in forecasting and analytics.
  • Hands-on with ERP/MRP and familiarity with WMS/TMS.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate data into clear decisions for cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with S&OP/SIOP and scenario planning.
  • Exposure to demand planning tools
  • Advanced Excel, and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) will be a huge advantage.
  • Consumer goods or durable goods distribution experience.
