Job Description
Position: Optical Lens Technician
Company overview: Optics, optoelectronics, and precision engineering
Working Location: Axis Business Campus, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) & Saturday: Half Day
Employment Type: Contract with PERSOL for 3 + 3 months (extension or conversion subject to performance)
Remuneration: RM2,300 to RM2,800 with statutory contribution & leave entitlement
What You'll Be Doing
- Cut, edge, and fit optical lenses according to customer prescriptions and frame specifications
- Assemble lenses for full-frame, semi-rimless, and rimless eyewear
- Operate optical processing equipment including tracers, blockers, edgers, drilling machines, and grooving machines
- Perform quality inspections to ensure lens accuracy and optical clarity
- Identify and report defects while maintaining high quality standards
- Record production and quality results accurately
- Support basic machine maintenance and equipment upkeep
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Who Should Apply
- Diploma or Degree in: Optometry, Optical Science, Vision Care, Healthcare or Science -related disciplines
- SPM graduates also welcome to apply
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable operating machinery and production equipment
- Willing to work on rotating shifts
- Able to follow SOPs and quality standards
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Eager to learn and develop new technical skills
