Position : Optical Lens Technician

Initial Job Title: Assembly Operator (Cut Edge & Fit Operator - CEF)/

Working Location: Axis Business Campus, Unit G.02, Block B, No.13 & 13A,Jalan 51A/225, Seksyen 51A, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (Shift 1: 7:00am to 3:30pm) | (Shift 2: 10:30am to 7:00pm) |Saturday: Half Day

Working Duration: 3+3 months contract with PERSOL Malaysia (extension or conversion subject to performance)

Salary: RM2,500 - RM2,800 (based on experience)

Position Overview

The Assembly Operator (CEF Operator) is responsible for cutting, edging, fitting, and quality checking optical lenses according to customer prescriptions and frame specifications. Training will be provided; therefore, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

This role supports company's growing in-house lens processing operations, which include lens cutting, edging, fitting, and quality control for optical retailers and customers.

Requirement:

-            Prefer Diploma or Degree in Optometry/ Optical Science/ Vision Care/ Related healthcare/ science disciplines

-            Fresh graduate welcome to apply

-            Candidates from eyewear manufacturers & competitors

Responsibilities:

(a)      Production Operations

-            Cut, edge, and fit optical lenses into frames

-            Working on:

o  full-frame spectacles

o  Semi-rimless frames

o  Rimless frames

-            Operate machines such as:

-    Tracer/ Blocker/ Edger/ Manual drilling machine/ Manual groover/ Thickness gauges

(b)      Quality Control

-            Inspect lens quality and fitting accuracy

-            Ensure optical clarity and product specifications are met

-            Record production and quality results

-            Identify defects and conduct corrective actions

(c)      Maintenance & Safety

-            Basic machine maintenance and preventive upkeep

-            Follow workplace safety procedures

-            Maintain clean and organized work area

(d)      Must-Have Competencies

-            Attention to detail

-            Good hand-eye coordination

-            Ability to work with machinery

-            Willingness to work in shifts

-            Ability to follow SOPs and quality standards

-            Team player with positive attitude
