Oracle Database Administrator
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to manage business-critical production databases and contribute to database infrastructure, architecture, and new project development. You will work with Oracle technologies across Linux and AWS environments.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain production databases in a 24/7 environment.
- Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents.
- Design and assess Oracle database schemas, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Perform database, SQL, and PL/SQL performance tuning.
- Manage database backups, recovery, restoration, and duplication.
- Manage tablespace allocation, schemas, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Monitor Oracle alert logs and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Manage database patching and version upgrades within AWS environments.
- Provide database expertise for new project development.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Oracle database administration or development experience.
- Experience in database infrastructure and architecture design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for Oracle.
- Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Strong proficiency in writing and executing efficient Oracle PL/SQL.
- Proven experience in database optimisation, SQL tuning, and performance tuning.
- Solid knowledge of backup and recovery, tablespace management, database monitoring, and schema management.
- Experience configuring and supporting Oracle 11g/12c databases on Linux.
- Strong Oracle troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to provide on-call, after-hours, or weekend support when required.
